Lucid started her life in a Ghurka camp in Singapore and would regularly attend Nepalese fetes and dances. This early introduction to world music has stayed with her. Her Father was a Party DJ, aptly named ‘Rhythm Method’ and Mother a self styled Disco Queen. Music was an important part of life from an early age. This start abroad has heavily influenced Lucids style, often journeying through Middle Eastern disco to acidic African groove. At the end of last year Lucid put out a free download of her Mother and Child edit which has since been downloaded and played across the globe in places like Copenhagen and Canada. Keep an eye out for more productions soon.
